Mr Hiten Sheth joined Stoke Mandeville and Buckinghamshire Healthcare in 2011. His private work is focused solely on cataract assessment and surgery.
He qualified from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, Imperial College, London, in 1997, and he subsequently undertook rotations in Accident and Emergency, Neurosurgery, Plastic surgery, and Ophthalmology in London and Brisbane, Australia.
Mr Hiten Sheth’s basic surgical training in Ophthalmology was at the renowned St Thomas’ Hospital in London, followed by higher surgical training in Ophthalmology and Cataract Surgery at the internationally recognised Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. He is active in teaching and research, with 35 peer-reviewed publications and 20 posters presented nationally and internationally. He has led teaching for GPs, Opticians, medical students and the multi-disciplinary team both in London and Buckinghamshire.
Mr Sheth is known for his thorough clinical assessment and friendly manner and gives all patients as much time and as much information as they require.
Mr Sheth is happy to help patients seeking cataract surgery or YAG laser capsulotomy for capsule opacification. He sees self-pay patients only on Monday evenings by arrangement.
