Below you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked questions we hear from patients. However, if you need further clarification or want to discuss your concerns with our specialists, tap the button below, and we’ll aim to respond as soon as possible!

How quickly can I expect to be seen at the Buckinghamshire Private Health Breast Clinic?

Our goal is to provide rapid access to our breast clinic services. Though current wait times may vary, we typically aim to see new patients within a very short period from the time of referral or enquiry.

What can I expect from my visit to the Buckinghamshire Private Health Breast Clinic?

During your first visit, you will have a consultation with a Consultant Breast Specialist who will review your medical history, perform a physical examination, provide comprehensive imaging services, and conduct further assessment, such as a tissue biopsy, if required.

What happens if my test results are unclear or indicate a problem?

If your test results are unclear or show an area of concern, your Buckinghamshire Breast Specialist will explain the findings to you and discuss the next steps, which may involve further imaging and testing.

What do 'false positive' and 'false negative' results mean?

A ‘false positive’ result occurs when a test indicates the presence of disease, such as cancer, when it is not actually present. A ‘false negative’ result does not detect the disease when it is actually present. Our specialist Breast Clinic in Buckinghamshire uses state-of-the-art imaging and advanced diagnostic techniques to minimise the chance of these false results.

How quickly can I be seen and receive my results?

We aim to schedule your appointment and provide you with your results all within a working week.

Who are my results reviewed by?

Your diagnostics will be reviewed by a specialist group of clinicians within a multidisciplinary team meeting.
